We tried the baked pumpkin donut recipe (in regular, not gluten free.) It was easy, fun and delicious! My dough seemed dry so I added 2 Tablespoons of milk and it was just right. We rolled out in a mixture of flour and sugar to keep them tender. Little fingers kept showing up to snitch a pinch.
Yummy warm with a mug of milk.
In case you wondered: If the recipe makes 24 doughnuts, 1 glazed doughnut is 160 calories.
The donuts looks so yummy! I am in the mood for anything pumpkins so I will have to try this recipe
I printed the pumpkin donuts recipe out today and went and got the buttermilk at the store today! I am ready to make these for my family. I am in the process of losing weight so I may only be able to take a bite to try them out but I’m sure my hubby and kids will devour them in no time! Thats what happened to the pumpkin roll I made last week!
Did you use a donut cutter for the donuts? or just free-hand it? Thanks!
Jilla,
I used a letter 0 cutter, from my Valentine cookie cutter set. But some of the donuts I formed by hand when there was too little dough left to roll out and they turned out great too.
Looks so yummy!
