Quickening!

I felt the baby move for the first time today!  It doesn’t matter that it is my 6th baby.  It’s still amazing and moves me to tears.

I totally overdid it today and even though I stopped work at 2pm and took frequent breaks for snacks and lots of water, I’m on the miserable side.  Nauseas and achy, it’s a good evening to lay on the couch and get inspiration from watching Design 2 Sell and Sweat Equity reruns on Hulu.com We don’t have a functioning telelvision so the laptop and internet TV is our main source of information.  It sure saves a bundle over paying for cable.

I got the entry, hallway and most of the stairwell painted today.  I love the new color (old was medium blue to a new tan that matches the kitchen).  My plan was to delegate the high parts of the stairs to DH since balancing on scaffolding is a little out of my comfort zone when I’m pregnant (or when I’m not.)  If I feel better tomorrow I will try to tape off the walls and prime the trim.  I’m so excited to have white trim throughout the house!

That is so exciting! I Keep wondering if I’ll feel it early this time like with the others. This is my 6th also, and I usually feel it around 10 weeks or so. And I agree, like hearing the heart beat for the first time, it takes your breath away. I marvel at the handwork of God. Thank you for sharing this very special moment with us!

And hopefully you’re using love VOC paint! Those fumes are not good!

Thanks Staci. That’s amazing that you feel the baby at 10 weeks. I’m already 17 weeks and just now starting to feel the flutters, but I haven’t slowed down to pay attention before now. Yep, low VOC all the way for me. I’ll do much less today. (Though DH is hoping less painting, more laundry and cooking for him.) :).

How wonderful to feel the little blessing inside you. It moves me to tears just thinking about it. I LOVE that part o pregnancy. It is like a secret between you and the baby. It bonds you immediately. Enjoy every moment and do not work too hard. A healthy baby and healthy body are more important than painted walls! The Lord is in control of when your house will sell. Trust in Him and realize you can only do so much. Don’t push too hard.
